The Crowned Ridge II Substation construction started in the fall of 2019. CRII scopes of work will include: site work; concrete foundations; 130 linear feet of cable trench; below grade & above grade conduit and grounding; rigid & strain buses; power & control cable install and termination; steel erection; major equipment installation. Some of the major equipment that will be installed for the CRII project: (2) parallel power transformers, (2) - 230kV power circuit breakers, (11) - 34.5kV power circuit breakers, (3) - 230kV GOAB disconnect switches, (108) - 34.5kV disconnect switches, (6) 34.5kV PTs, (3) - 34.5kV CVTs, (4) - 34.5kV capacitor banks, (1) - Switchgear Building.
